Why do Calendars make the perfect marketing tool?
Simple – your potential client will reference your business calendar every day. Not only is a calendar a constant spokesman for your business, product or service – it serves a need for your recipient.
By subtly assisting your potential client, you formulate a relationship with them as a helpful servant – ready to tend to their needs. Ok…that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but calendars are helpful and it displays your business name prominently each and every day.
What is the best way to begin contemplating your calendar – well, studying other memorable calendars is extremely helpful. Collect them each time you run across one that catches your eye. Snap a photo if you need to. Scribble notes, so that when you refer back to them, you’ll quickly recall why exactly this calendar caught your attention.
If you have created calendar promotions in the past, make note of which ones worked and which did not. If it didn’t work once…three times is not a charm. A don’t list for your calendar is every bit as helpful if not more!
How to keep this calendar working for you - one way is in the actual design of the calendar. Are you putting helpful information that will encourage your audience to reference it? You could make notation of days best for planting. How about recipes or home remedies -anything that needs referencing.
You could create stickers to mail out monthly – they each could be applied to your promotional calendar marking special days or events to remember….maybe even a sale or event you are planning.
